Welcome back to Clear Signal. This is a quick chat on my phone. And I'll keep it brief. So I actually released the episode instead of saying, Oh, I'm going to go back and put it on a proper mic. Episode after this was recorded in my car, but I am going to redo it because I was yelling because of traffic and it sounds kind of angry. And in that, I had talked about my frustration with this concept of burnout. And that actually wasn't the reason for the episode. It came in at the very end. One of the benefits of being on the fly and being unscripted, my frustration with it is that it's one gear. It's this gear that if you're not taking action on something, you're burned out. I'm not talking about self-sabotage. I'm not talking about not knowing what to do. I'm talking about this notion of burnout. Everything is burnout. I recently posted a clip on my Substack from an episode that is episode 61 with somebody named Andrew Jones. It was for Business Insider. And then he switched and made it pivot point his own podcast versus a team. And even though he told me the podcast will be audio only, so I'm out of the shower and I look homeless. He then was like, Do you mind if I put this two-minute clip up on YouTube? And I'm like, that's fine. And he'd asked me about burnout. I don't do burnout with clients. And it's something that's come up a couple of times when I've done in quotes mainstream business podcasts, because they have a couple of codified pieces of language around things. Everything is mindset, everything is burnout. And then within the healing coaching female space, for lack of a better term, the people who target coaches, the people who target people on social media, the company line is you are afraid of visibility. You have a visibility wound. You can't make money because you have a dysregulated nervous system. And you can't make money because you have a visibility wound. That is the one-to-punch, one-to-punch, one-to-munch over and over again. Go into the bro space or the traditional strategy space, and everything is burnout or mindset. These are the one-to gears that we have been using at nauseum forever. And it is kind of down that gender line, too. That could be a whole deeper conversation about the healing industry, particularly for women, and how everything is about shadow work and healing journey and journaling and keeping people on a healing treadmill instead of actually taking action. And no, I'm not talking out of two sides of my mouth because I'm not saying just take action because if you don't, you don't have the right mindset. What I'm trying to say is that visibility is not always a wound. Visibility can be that the strategy you're being told to create visibility through is not for you. Now I've met some really high-up people who have a fear of public speaking. It surprised me a lot. You never think that people are struggling who are struggling. And generally that comes from childhood. There are also very obvious blocks in the chart to visibility. They can be seen a mile away. And by chart I mean astrology, not human design. Things can be very obvious. Things can make visibility more challenging. These are, as I explain in the future, used in my world as diagnostic frameworks. My solutions incorporate them in everything I do, even if in their background, because they are operating outside of pure logic and they're bringing in something that we need, greatly need in the business world. There are going to be people who have certain keystone telltale signs, and that is outside of what might have happened to you as a child conditioning. But it's not always that. It could be that the strategy sucks. I'm very selective with my visibility, which you may or may not notice about me. You're going to see podcast clips of me, you're going to see video clips of me. You might see in the past tutorials I've done on my YouTube channel as foundational content. It doesn't look like someone who's uncomfortable on camera, does it? I don't have a problem being on a camera. I just choose not to make it a big part of my brand at this current juncture. I'm very selective about where it makes sense. It's not a visibility wound. Doing short form social media content does not seem interesting to me. I'm not motivated to do it. And I don't want to do it. Unless it serves a purpose, I'm not going to do it. I'm not an influencer. The reason I share that is because someone would say, Well, you need to be more visible, and you're not on social media a lot. I will only be on social media to the extent I need to. As long as I'm on enough video podcasts where you can see me talking, that is what my desired client needs to see. Can she communicate? Can she articulate well? What is she really like? Is she authentic? And because my commentary is very heretical, seeing me on camera brings more of a 360 lens of my personality. That is my specific brand goals, and that is my specific trajectory, and that is where I am in this stage of my journey. I'm going to be 50 next year. So I'm not looking to dance around online that somebody else might be more interested in doing. It also depends on who you're targeting and so many things. Outside of my business, just be thinking about that for yourself. The bigger conversation about where are you getting trapped in this healing journey nonsense and allowing yourself to stay stuck in that. One of the things that I do here is question. I'm a contrarian. And it's not questioning to question. The thing I brought up next time has to do with burnout. This has to do with this notion of visibility wound. I don't generally play in the coaching space. So I could go on a whole diatribe about nervous system regulation and somatic this, that, and I won't because I'm a consultant. That's completely different than the lane I'm putting myself in. And even though what I do is not personal development, because what I do involves the founder themselves, it's positioning from the inside out. It's a starfish. Ultimately, it is them. It is going to bring in things that they are challenged with. It is going to bring in parts of themselves that are not being leveraged sufficiently, things they're not seeing, ways they don't understand how they can manipulate their gifts. What are certain aspects of themselves allowing to block them? In that sense, there is a personal development lens to it, but it's not personal development because the objective is always is this part of move the needle for the strategy? Is this part of the objective of what we're looking to do here? It's not healing to heal, it's not fix to fix. Everything is connected. So I'm not trying to isolate it, but there's no end to it. If it's not going to be part of the problem solve, then it's not really what I touch on. I wanted to say this out loud because it needs to be said. And I'll share this with you because I actually started to question myself about this myself. I said, I don't have a visibility wound. I can honestly say that. It doesn't feel congruent to me. Whatever that is. If you saw some of my earlier content on my YouTube channel, especially when I was talking about astrology and doing a cosmic alarm clock, which was very out there, there's nothing safe about it. It doesn't feel like a visibility wound. It feels like a preference. And a little bit of the workload with video is more. And if it doesn't serve a purpose for me and it's not intentional for me, I don't see the point. But beyond that, even if video is a huge part of what you do and you want to do short form content and you enjoy doing short form content, whether you do or don't, this is not about platforms, this is about a greater conversation about looking at where are you taking in blanket advice that doesn't actually apply to you? Where have we allowed blanket advice to just be parroted and everyone's saying the same thing over and over again? And that's where things get dangerous. And one of the other episodes that are coming up, I have so much content coming up, Q4. We talk about vulnerability content and how vulnerability content was the thing. And it really steered everyone awry. I never was on that train. I was on the contrarian train. I was on the heretical train. I was never on the I'm your BFF, we're gonna bleed together train. I was never on the healing journey train, which is what I said in most marketing storytelling is wrong for your business, and here's why. And I talked about Chiron and I talked about how it's lazy marketing. That's what I meant by that. That's related because Chiron's the wound and vulnerability, they're related, but different. You could know nothing about astrology and still understand what I'm saying about this proliferation of vulnerability content, is authenticity content, which is not true. Authenticity is a vibration, authenticity is very different feel. You can be very authentic without appearing vulnerable or trying to be vulnerable. And the more you try to appear vulnerable, if it's not really what you're doing, even if I don't think that's a good strategy, regardless, it's not gonna come across as authentic. If you're trying to appear contrarian, it actually doesn't come across as authentic. I don't try to be this way, I just am. It's part of my design. I lean into it. It's part of my attraction repulsion strategy, and it's also part of my objective for this platform, which is thought leadership, which is stuff that's gonna age well. It's not necessarily conversion. It's part of it, but it's not the objective, which goes back to another episode I did a year ago about what game are you playing? Everyone thinks that every lane they're in, they have to follow the rules of what everyone is telling them to do in that lane, and maybe you're playing a different game. Some things to be thinking about. This is meant to be perspective shift. I talked about perspective last time. This is a perspective shift. Where are you taking in blanket advice that doesn't apply to you? Where are you allowing it to color your narrative of what you think? And a bigger conversation, a higher level perspective on a lot of stuff that's being taught, and from a macro perspective of everything is hustle, everything is mindset, or everything is healing journey, everything is blocks, everything is visibility wound, everything is dysregulated nervous system, and it's not the case. It's not the case. I'll come back soon. But this is something to chew on.
