Welcome back to Clear Signal. I hope you enjoyed the last episode of How to Treat Your Business Like a Game. Life is a game and business is a game. And that episode dropped in by mistake. I did have two episodes I wanted to do to wrap up season two, which we're doing today on May 31st. By the way, before I continue, May 31st is the last day to take advantage of Catalyze, which is my private podcast. Link in the show notes, it's free. That'll expire. I'll pull it down probably end of day tomorrow on the 1st. I'm traveling. And also Resonance Read, which is my intro way to work with me, which is all about residence. I did a whole episode about residence and why you want to get that offer and why residence is important. You know what? At this stage of the game, you understand resonance. And if you don't, there'll be some version of like that to work with me in the future. It won't be at that price point. It won't be in that delivery mechanism. If you want it, you got it. If you don't, it's all good. Here's the thing about the game: the game's got time on the clock. Buzzer runs out, buzzer runs out. Doesn't mean you can't play another game in the future, but it is what it is. I did not intend to drop an episode today. And something you're going to hear in my world, if you're in it for a while, is I love it when a plan comes together, even if it isn't my plan. And so that's what happened. So that's a little bit of a backstory. The second backstory is I have not edited some minor tweaks I would make to the episode that just dropped. But one tweak I'm not going to take out is I mentioned Labor Day Memorial Day, because I had intended to do a private podcast this summer. And that makes no sense, given my schedule, my plans, my business plans. And so I kept saying Labor Day. And so obviously my body knew something that my brain didn't. And so if I do a private podcast, it will not be until the fall slash September. Number three, I mentioned James Clear last time. Well, James Clear sends out a newsletter most weeks. And there's a quote that I captured a couple weeks ago that I was going to use to introduce last episode as a transition from the teacher episode. But let's do it here. And the quote is the best view of the game is probably from the stands. But that's not where the action is. And so you have to decide, do you want a nice view or do you want to be in the thick of it and playing the game? The bottom line is the business is the teacher. And you have to be in the game, and you get to treat your business like a game. And like a video game. And there's something known as game theory, which I mentioned last time that will not be an episode. That will be a post I do on Substack. I'm going to be doing monthly marketing thought leadership slash business thought leadership posts on Substack. May was category of one. June will be game theory. So look forward to that if you're on there. You can also subscribe to me on Substack and then you'll get it in your email. So if you're not a Substack person. And finally, last summer, I love it when a plan comes together, even if it's not my plan, I did an episode of Diary of a CEO. And the whole notion of that is what game are you playing? Not treat your business like a video game. Not game theory. But what game are you playing in the first place? And when? And why? And what are the rules of that game? And speaking of it, that I love when a plan comes together. I mentioned an episode last time. Literally, the day I recorded that podcast, that episode became live. So that episode is the episode I did. And off the top of my head, I don't have the information because we're doing this on the fly where I'm running. All of the information's in the show notes. That's on Spotify, that's on Apple, that's on YouTube. If you want to see the video, you want to see my lovely face, you can hit that. Also, there's a couple of other key guest spots I've done that are all dropping this week. One's dropping tomorrow, another one dropped last week. I will link those below. The reason I want to link them is this notion of you know, I only want advice from people who are in the game. That's an obvious one. That's what James Clear was saying. You're not learning anything from being in the stands. But also sometimes what are you learning and from whom and why? I'll let you listen to that episode. That episode dropped in on a podcast, Achieving Success with Olivia Atkins. That's also video. That'll also be a collab on my YouTube channel, but for now I'll link all the main links and I'll update them when it makes sense. And finally, I recently did an episode with somebody named Heather Clark. Her focus is decluttering. She helps women declutter in all areas of their life. And I believe my episode is supposed to drop on June 1st. Like I said, I love when a plan comes together. I did these in the winter. The reason that's relevant is because I talk a lot about removal of things. I also give a lot of teaching on human design that tends to happen with certain guest episodes. I'll use the guest's, excuse me, the host's human design as a teachable moment. So there's foundations in there. There's also this notion of removal of things is actually what brings clarity. It's not this magical process. So it's a teaching episode. And when that's live, I will link that below. Lots of options there. Why am I giving you all this material? Because I'm stepping away. This is the end of season two. And when you hear in the future the hidden Easter eggs associated with this episode that I didn't even plan, like I said, I love when a plan comes together. You will understand. If you guys have been in my world for a while, you have heard a lot of my episodes and you've been with me through the process. Something you should know is you've turning into a bit of a tradition. Season one ended this exact same way. Season one was supposed to end with episode 40. At the time, it was called Misfit Manifesto. It might be called Building Something Your Way, something like this. Then an episode dropped in by mistake. Then I had to do a follow-up episode to discuss and clean up the mess. And I use the clean up the mess as an opportunity to say, hey, this is what entrepreneurship is. Hey, things don't have to be perfect. Hey, I'm very good at figuring shit out on the fly, which I am, because I'm traveling, I have some makeshift microphone. It's working out fine. Laptop is balanced on my lap. We're doing the do. We're doing the thing. Do you care? Probably not. And so as I formalize the podcast moving forward, obviously these won't be my episodes. It doesn't leave the best first impression, whoever joins me. But for now, this is what we're doing. And then in the fall, if I have a private podcast, I'll let you guys know about it. Catalyze is a private podcast. The transmissions for that will go away. End of day on the first, if not sooner. It says May 31st in the show notes. So I can do it on the 31st. I'm just traveling. It'll probably be the first, you guys. What else? The best view of the game is probably from the stands, but that is not where the action is. And so you have to decide: do you want a nice view or do you want to be in the thick of it and playing the game? Do you want to take lessons from people who are in the game or do you want to take opinions from people who've never even entered the ring? That's Aries. Aries is about athletics. Aries is war. Aries is being in the fucking ring. And if you're not in one of those three, I don't want to hear from you. Also, you get to make up your own rules, which is what one of the episodes I did last summer, the rules of life are made up. If you guys are new to me, these are some episodes you might enjoy in my absence. So you what are the rules of the game? Do you want to play by the rules of that game? Do you have to play by the rules of that game? Who said? Can you make up your own rules? Can you bend the rules? Can you ask for forgiveness instead of can you beg forgiveness instead of asking for permission? Something I've done my whole life. That is the definition of the entrepreneur. Be willing to beg forgiveness. I beg forgiveness of you. Oops, I made a mistake. Oh well, I could pull it back. I can make it all perfect. I could take out the fact that I said Memorial Day instead of Labor Day, but in the future, when I do an episode on my six-step framework, my six-step system, when one of them is body wisdom, I will explain to you the difference between body wisdom and intuition. And that was an example of that. Also, it's helping me tell you about the game theory substack article I'm going to do in July. And everything else. I love that I get to let you guys know about Catalyze and Resonance Read before they expire. And I love that we're wrapping season two by the end of May, because season two was supposed to wrap by the end of March. In the future, I'll understand why that's important. And it's not important for you to understand anything about this episode. I treat this podcast like a game in the back in ways you don't even want to know. It's a rabbit hole of rabbit holes. And I always paid off the end with the season finale or the season intro with a nice riddle. So enjoy all of that content in the absence. Check out some of the guest episodes I've done. I always bring the heat when I guest on a podcast. And my podcast guest spots are never this boring conversation between two people. It's usually people having a deeper conversation, or at least I try to steer it there. I always manage to steer it there. Look forward to some great collaborations and guests this summer. We're going to do very light this summer on the podcast. It could be as light as one to two episodes top per month. June and July will probably be one. A lot more collaboration, a lot less hearing from me. It'll be a mix of people who are guests on my podcasts, places I was a guest on other people's podcasts or speaking to another audience, but for whatever reason, I have the feed and we're going to put it here. It'll also be case studies. You're going to hear from clients, and you're going to hear people from people in their own words. And I'm going to be introducing the work I do in a bigger way. So we're going to the next level of the video game with this. So join me for the summer. Last summer we had a fun summer series. I did things on the fly. I did things in my car. I it was on spontaneous and on the go. This summer won't be that, but it'll be a little bit of a light summer and a fun summer, a little bit more easygoing. And obviously, there are other ways to sustain my world. If I start my email list up this summer, that'll be a place your heel for me. You want to join me on Substack, you want to listen to some of my past episodes, or you want to check out some of my guest collaborations I've done, it's there for you. Also, if you want to have private podcast catalyze, link in the show notes that goes away today, tomorrow, whenever you're hearing this. June 1st is the absolute drop dead. May 31st is what it says. Residence read expires May 31st. Lowest way to work with me, that price point is never going to come back again. And it's async. You don't have to meet with me on Zoom over the summer. You'll have it in five business days. I hope you enjoyed the last episode about how to treat your business like a game. I hope you enjoyed hearing about some of my stories and some of my trials and tribulations from business. That is a fraction. That is a fraction, my friends. The stories you can imagine I have from the chaos and the craziness. And sadly, I don't even tell them on this podcast. I will maybe a little bit more in the future, but definitely I speak from experience in other podcasts because my interest with entrepreneurship is as much the revenue model. It's as much the freedom model, which is what got me to do it in the first place. It wasn't because I had some grand mission, but it's also the person you become in the process. You become a person who can literally walk through fire and come out the other side. At least I become that person. You become a person who can figure anything the fuck out on the fly. You become a person who is untouchable, unstoppable, can navigate in the dark, doesn't care what anybody thinks, and can reinvent yourself at will. And isn't that a skill that's going to be needed in 2027 and beyond? Have a wonderful summer. Thanks for being part of the podcast. Whether you're new or whether you're an old time listener, and I'll see you very soon.
